It has been seven months since Rockstar Games dropped the first GTA 6 trailer, leaving fans keen for more information. Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar's parent company, has held a few earnings calls since then, during which fans usually expect big announcements, the next trailer, or even official screenshots to be released. This seems to be the case once again after Take-Two's confirmation of its August 2024 earnings call date.
Reacting to a Reddit post by u/Fun_Accountant2900 about the same, u/JYSATA expressed hope for getting screenshots before the earnings call. They posted:
"Hopefully screenshots before that."
In fact, most comments on the post are about the possibility of getting screenshots during the event, as seen below:
u/Frost12566 even mentioned how GTA 5's first screenshots were released on July 12, 2012. However, it is unlikely that its sequel's screenshots will be dropped tomorrow (July 12) or even a week before the next Take-Two Interactive earnings call.
Interestingly, a comment by u/DesOrden3s expressed speculation regarding a possible Red Dead Redemption PC port release date announcement along with GTA 6 screenshots during the event.
For those unaware, Rockstar insider and data miner, Tez2, found marketing strings for the same on the developer's site file in May 2024.
Needless to say, it is impossible to tell if either of these things will be revealed during Take-Two's August 2024 earnings call. Thus, some members of the Grand Theft Auto community remain skeptical.
Having said that, it should be noted that the official GTA 6 release window was confirmed at Take-Two's last earnings call. As a result, there is a possibility that we might receive more information on the long-awaited GTA sequel, although that remains to be seen.
Fans hope for GTA 6 screenshots around Take-Two's August 8, 2024, earnings call
Some might remember that the first GTA 6 trailer's arrival was announced just before Take-Two Interactive's November 2023 earnings call. As mentioned, its fall 2025 release window was confirmed at the May 2024 iteration of the event.
Thus, fans are expecting more information on the next Grand Theft Auto in August, possibly screenshots, around Take-Two's upcoming earnings call. While neither Rockstar Games nor its parent company has confirmed this, we should get official screenshots at some point.
This is because a new GTA 6 page on Rockstar's official website with a dedicated Screens section was inadvertently made public some months ago. However, as of this writing, it cannot be confirmed if we will finally be getting another look at GTA 6 next month.
