GTA Online Trap Door has returned to the Adversary Modes playlist with the January 2, 2025, weekly update. Moreover, the multiplayer match is offering 2x the usual cash and RP this week until January 8, 2025. The rules of this Adversary Mode are pretty straightforward, and make it quite fun to play with friends or strangers from the community.
However, some players may be trying it out for the first time and require a bit of assistance. So, this article will explain how to play GTA Online Trap Door Adversary Mode for 2x bonuses this week.
GTA Online Trap Door guide: How to play and earn 2x bonuses from the Adversary Mode this week (January 2 to 8, 2025)
GTA Online Trap Door Adversary Mode is played between 2 to 16 players, grouped into two to four teams. Each round has a five-minute time limit and takes place on a floating platform. Your objective is to kill opposing players with any of the available weapons.
Killed players respawn instantly inside a red zone on the floating platform, which gets removed after the timer on top of the screen runs out. Those who exit this red zone in time survive, whereas those still inside get eliminated permanently. This goes on until only one team is left and is declared the winner of that round of GTA Online Trap Door Adversary Mode. The team that wins the most rounds is declared the match winner.
There are plenty of cover points on the platform, as well as weapon and armor pickups, so use them to your advantage. That said, do not stay idle at a spot for too long, or else your position will show up on the mini-map. Additionally, avoid getting killed when the red zone timer is about to run out, as that would leave you will very little time to exit that area.
As mentioned earlier, Trap Door Adversary Mode is offering 2x bonus rewards in this GTA Online weekly update (through January 8, 2025).
