Cars have been an integral part of all Grand Theft Auto titles, and it isn't any different in GTA Online. Rockstar Games has introduced a plethora of vehicles to the multiplayer via DLCs in the last decade and continues doing so. Notably, among the newest cars in this game are police cars that, sadly, don't offer anything unique but cost a lot of money.
Fans like u/Justdoit902 on Reddit, however, believe that Rockstar should've added more rides like the Willard Faction Custom Donk, a highly unique Muscle Car that boasts giant wheels. In their Reddit post, the user said:
"The donk isn’t horrible but they should of let you convert more cars to a “donk” "
Another fan, u/fnkdrspok, stated in their comment on the above post that they would prefer having more Donk variations instead of "boring" new cop cars. Here's what they said:
"I'd take more Donk variations vs more boring a** cop cars."
What's interesting is that many were in agreement with this opinion, such as u/mrmanucat, who said Rockstar should've added more cars in GTA Online that were compatible with Benny's Original Motor Works.
For those unaware, Benny's Original Motor Works is where you can customize the Willard Faction into its Donk variant at an additional cost. Unfortunately, not all cars can be converted into such unique variants at this workshop.
Nevertheless, despite the dearth of Donk options, gamers have found ways to enjoy the available ride. u/Wh1te0wt explained that they use theirs as a lifted off-road Muscle Car, whereas u/LiterallyAzzmilk revealed they troll their friends with it.
Regardless of whether Rockstar Games adds more Donk cars via future GTA Online DLCs or not, it looks like such rides might be available in the series' next installment.
A different GTA Online car sporting the Donk conversion was seen in the GTA 6 trailer
Many Grand Theft Auto Online cars appeared in the first official GTA 6 trailer, among which was the Tulip M-100, albeit with a Donk conversion. It sported a pink color scheme and the signature giant wheels.
So, it looks like the sequel might offer more Donk conversions. Taking this route would seemingly be a welcome decision as well, since the fanbase seems interested in them, going by all the fan reactions above.
The upcoming title's second trailer is expected to drop by the end of this year (2024); however, a bit more about it, such as GTA 6 screenshots, might be revealed close to Take-Two Interactive (Rockstar's parent company)'s upcoming earnings call in August 2024.
