Countless mods are available for GTA 5 today, with one even capable of introducing Homelander from The Boys in the popular Rockstar Games title. For those unaware, this is an Amazon Prime series that presents a satirical take on superheroes. Homelander is the show's main character and has many Superman-like abilities that get added to Grand Theft Auto 5 (with the character model) through this mod.
An account on X, @TheBoysOOCC, recently uploaded a clip of the mod being showcased in all its glory.
Referring to what's seen in the clip, X user @The_realdonnie's had this to say:
"The mods in GTA6 is going to be stupid out of this world."
Unfortunately, GTA 6's PC version hasn't been officially announced. The game will, as of this writing, only be coming to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in the fall of 2025. However, its PC port is expected to arrive eventually, just like how it has been with many previous Grand Theft Auto titles.
As far as other comments on the above X post are concerned, many expressed their interest in the mod. @_thshn even stated that a dedicated game should be made for The Boys as soon as possible.
It should be noted that the clip in the post is actually from a YouTube video uploaded back in 2021 by the channel - TK REBIRTH. The title of the video on YT mentions using Natural Vision Evolved, a popular graphical enhancement mod for Grand Theft Auto 5.
The comments on the original YouTube video are also full of praise. For instance, one highlights the detail involved in having cars melt from the heat instead of exploding instantly. Another mentions how the body language greatly matches that of the character from the show.
The mod being used in the video seems to be Homeland V1 from THE BOYS W/ Cloth Physics, designed by The Darth Knight.
The Boys Grand Theft Auto 5 mod intrigues fans while they wait for GTA 6
The Darth Knight's Homelander mod seemingly became available way back in November 2020, letting gamers play as The Boys' infamous anti-hero.
Although the kind of gameplay it introduces is very different from what one can usually do in Grand Theft Auto games, its uniqueness can keep those waiting for GTA 6 quite entertained in the 10-year-old title.
Rockstar Games has only released one trailer for the sequel so far, which will soon reach 200 million views on YouTube, but is expected to drop a few more. It may drop some screenshots leading up to the title's launch in Fall 2025.
