Rockstar Games' GTA 6 might just be the most anticipated title of all time. Fans have been waiting for it for a long time, with the game set to drop in 2025. This lengthy waiting period gave rise to the "before GTA 6" meme, which is used to highlight extremely unlikely events occurring before the title's release.

The meme was recently used very creatively in a fan-made song by Jared Goldsmith on Instagram (@jaredbgoldsmith) titled All Before GTA 6. It highlighted notable trends from the last few years related to movies, gaming, as well as some general events.

The song was uploaded on Instagram on June 26, 2024, just a day after Grand Theft Auto Online's Bottom Dollar Bounties update was launched and has over 127 thousand likes.

Interestingly, a comment by u/Justanotherrandoooo talked about someone at Rockstar Games possibly watching the clip. Other Redditors only had words of praise for Goldsmith's singing skills.

The wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 is still on. Rockstar Games' parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has confirmed a fall 2025 release window for the highly anticipated title.

GTA 6 to come out in Fall 2025

Fall 2025 was confirmed as GTA 6's release window during Take-Two's May 2024 earnings call. Though that's still quite far away, fans at least have a particular period to look forward to while they keep themselves entertained with fan-made content like Jared Goldsmith's song.

Rockstar Games is expected to drop official screenshots as well as a few more Grand Theft Auto 6 trailers before the title's release. The developer has done this for its previous major launches. Based on previously established patterns, we can expect GTA 6's trailer 2 in November or December 2024.
