Rockstar Games is no stranger to leaks, and another incident involving an alleged GTA 6 leaked screenshot has surfaced online. A fan account, @GTAVInewz, shared information about the supposed leak on January 2, 2025. The screenshot in question seemingly features Lucia, one of the game’s protagonists, with the word “Preview” visible in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
This rumored GTA 6 leaked screenshot is claimed to have been taken inside a Rockstar Games studio, with a PS5 development kit shown in the image, raising doubts about its authenticity.
Alleged GTA 6 leaked screenshot might have been taken in 2021 at Rockstar San Diego
As seen above, @GTAVInewz posted the alleged GTA 6 leaked screenshot on X. It appears to have been taken inside a Rockstar Games office, as claimed by the user, who did not provide any further details.
The leak quickly caught the attention of the Grand Theft Auto community, prompting various members to share their analysis. One individual, @lmk_nathan, claimed on January 2, 2025, that a 2023 source code leak had provided information related to the PS5 and Xbox Series X development kits.
According to them, the EXIFF data from the PS5 dev kit shown in the image suggests that it was taken at the Rockstar San Diego office on June 22, 2021, at around 16:59.
Another community member, @GameRollGTA, was also confident that the picture was “100%” taken from inside the Rockstar San Diego office. They provided their reasoning for the notion:
“Devs were working from home and tapping into their dev kits at the office. A janitor could have turned on a monitor and it’s possible that GTA 6 would have shown up on the screen.”
Fans are advised to remain cautious and treat the alleged GTA 6 leaked screenshot with skepticism, as its authenticity has yet to be confirmed.
