After design documents of a few older GTA titles were leaked online on December 25, 2024, the source code of Saints Row 4 has now suffered the same fate on 4Chan. However, no significant details have seemingly been shared, as of this writing. The Saints Row franchise, developed by Deep Silver Volition, has certain elements similar to Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto titles and is somewhat of an alternative to it.

Saints Row 4, whose source code has reportedly been leaked, was released back in 2013. Interestingly, GTA 5 (released in 2013, too) also had its source code leaked around Christmas last year, revealing plenty of cut content, such as story mode DLCs. The Grand Theft Auto design document leak that happened this year showed cut content, like a canceled multiplayer mode for Grand Theft Auto 3.

Saints Row 4 source code reportedly leaked on 4chan a day after GTA design document leak

In a tweet, YouTuber @TheNathanNS shared some screenshots that seemingly belong to the reported leaked Saints Row 4 source code. However, as mentioned, nothing substantial seems to have been extracted from the leaked files.

The scenario is a bit different for the new Christmas Day GTA leaks, as extensive plans for Grand Theft Auto 3's canceled multiplayer mode have allegedly been derived from them.

Even former Rockstar Games developer Obbe Vermeij commented on the topic on X, revealing a little more about the scrapped multiplayer project.

Among other alleged details extracted from the recent Grand Theft Auto leak are some canceled girlfriend options for Grand Theft Auto San Andreas' protagonist Carl "CJ" Johnson.

Rockstar Games will release a new entry in the franchise, Grand Theft Auto 6, in the fall of 2025. The forthcoming title has also suffered from leaks in the past. These range from development clips surfacing online to its first official trailer leaking hours ahead of the planned release time.

Fans are now waiting for its next trailer (unannounced) and its eventual launch next year on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
