Rockstar Games has said absolutely nothing about GTA 6 since its first official trailer came out in December 2023. While its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, did announce Fall 2025 as the upcoming title's planned release window, the developer's silence has some fans concerned about a possible delay. However, a Rockstar employee seems to have vaguely promoted Grand Theft Auto 6's 2025 release with a LinkedIn post.
Eilidh MacInnes, Talent Acquisition Specialist at Rockstar Games, made a post about some opportunities at the developer's UK-based studios. GTA 6 wasn't mentioned in the written part, but its official artwork featuring Lucia and her partner was attached below.
Fall 2025 is the currently planned GTA 6 release window
The image above shows the post in question on Eilidh MacInnes' LinkedIn, having information about some full-time positions in the Technical Art team at Rockstar Games' studios in the UK.
As mentioned, nothing about Grand Theft Auto 6 is mentioned in the text; however, its official artwork has been attached at the end. It is the artwork that was released with the first trailer in December 2023, and along with the protagonist, features the game's VI logo with "Coming 2025" written over it.
Another Rockstar Games employee had seemingly hinted at a 2025 release of GTA 6 just a few days ago on LinkedIn as well. That post also contained information about open positions, with the same artwork attached underneath.
The lack of new trailers, screenshots, or any sort of promotion from Rockstar has created a belief amongst the playerbase that it might get delayed, just like Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Additionally, video game journalist Jason Schreier also believes that it could get delayed.
Having said that, there have been no official announcements regarding a delay so far. Take-Two's latest earnings call as of this writing (January 8, 2025), held in November 2024, reiterated the previously announced GTA 6 release window. So, at the moment, Grand Theft Auto 6 looks to be on track for its Fall 2025 launch, and the Rockstar employee's LinkedIn post above might be hinting at the same.
