GTA 6 is the upcoming title by Rockstar Games, and fans are always eager to know what features the GTA 5 successor will bring to the table. The 2022 leaks suggested some new features fans can expect from Grand Theft Auto 6 like a new weapon-on-the-back system or limited weapon-carry ability. While not much is known about the game except that it will be released in the fall of 2025, that didn’t stop fans from sharing their ideas and concepts.
On July 9, 2024, Redditor u/Ok-Ingenuity9833 posted several ideas for GTA 6’s “Full Fighting System” with a brief about each of them. From Thai-Boxing to MMA Gym, there are various things fans would like to see in the game.
GTA 6 fan-made concept shows an in-depth combat system with various mechanics
As can be seen in the aforementioned Reddit post, u/Ok-Ingenuity9833 shared their ideas for GTA 6’s fighting system. This included some out-of-the-box features like Bujutsu and Grappling. Here’s how they explained their combat-system concept:
“Fighting Styles: You can go to a variety of fight clubs and learn the martial art until you have mastered it, allowing you to prompt the fighting style by shifting through a form wheel which changes your stance.”
Here’s a brief about some of the combat ideas in their GTA 6 features concept:
- Boxing: Boxing gym in Vice City where players can get training for it.
- Thai-Boxing: Being a cross between Muay Thai and Kickboxing, it would work as an enemy business to boxing located just a couple of blocks away from the Boxing gyms.
- Grappling: Players would be able to do grapple moves like in WWE games. There would be “wrestling bars” in the rural area of the map.
- Bujutsu: Combining moves from various Japanese martial arts, it would be the hardest combat style to learn in the game. A small dojo would be available next to Vice Beach.
- Backyard Fights: Players would be able to engage in backyard brawls for monetary rewards.
- Underground Fights: There would be illegal underground fights rewarding more money than the normal backyard fights.
- MMA Gym: MMA Gyms would help gamers to master all the moves they learned so far.
- Professional Matches: After winning 15 amateur matches in a row, players would be able to participate in professional MMA matches.
- Weight Gym: Vice City would also feature an outdoor gym and an indoor gym where players would be able to increase their strength.
- Epic Transformation: The character’s body would change its shape if players engage in regular workouts in the game.
While not all of the features are expected to be incorporated in GTA 6, it won’t be surprising if Rockstar Games decides to reintegrate Gyms into the world of Grand Theft Auto.
