GTA 6 release window officially confirmed by Rockstar Games

Rockstar Games has officially confirmed the release window for GTA 6 in the latest Take-Two Interactive Earnings Call. The official report states that the publishers and the developers have narrowed down the dates of the previous announcement about the release of the sixth title in the Grand Theft Auto franchise.

Prior press releases stated that the game would be coming sometime in 2025. Fans of the franchise now have more information about the upcoming release as the Earnings Call has confirmed that GTA 6 will be released in the fall of calendar year 2025 for PS5, and Xbox Series S|X.

Take-Two Interactive expects net bookings of around $5.5 billion in 2025 with GTA 6 releasing in the fall of next year

The first trailer for GTA 6 was released back in December 2023, after it was leaked. However, that did not dampen the spirits of the fans as the video quickly broke the record for the most number of views garnered by a non-music video in the first 24 hours on YouTube, garnering 93 million views on December 5.

As reinforced by the trailer, the much-anticipated video game by Rockstar will be coming sometime in 2025. But as revealed by the latest Take-Two Interactive earnings call for the fourth quarter of 2024, the release window has been narrowed down to the fall of 2025.

What's more, Take-Two expects to bring in bookings totaling approximately $5.5 billion in Fiscal year 2025, all thanks to the release of GTA 6. Here's a relevant quote from Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two about the game's projected impact on the company's billing:

"As we enter Fiscal 2025 with positive momentum, we expect to deliver Net Bookings of $5.55 to $5.65 billion. Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games' previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI. We are highly confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience, and our expectations for the commercial impact of the title continue to increase."

While an exact release date is not yet on the cards, players are still expecting Rockstar Games to drop a second trailer for the game sometime soon with more information.
