After concerns that the PS5 might not be able to run GTA 6 at 60 fps, it seems that Rockstar Games thinks otherwise. Per a report by viceYcity on GTAForums, the company’s senior material artist, Hailin Si, stated that the studio is confident the game will be playable at 60 fps on the PS5.
While the original comment of the employee is seemingly no longer available on GTAForums, it has intrigued many players around the globe.
60 fps GTA 6 on PS5 is possible, but the resolution remains a mystery
As seen in the post above, viceYcity claimed that Hailin Si, the current senior material artist at Rockstar Games, shared many details related to Grand Theft Auto 6. Apart from the now-deleted statement that the game will achieve 60 fps on the standard PS5, he reportedly claimed that Rockstar North is the lead developer of the upcoming title and that other studios are helping it.
According to the post, the employee also stated that GTA 6 is one of the most advanced projects he has seen in his 10 years in the AAA game development sphere. Regarding an update on the state of the title, it seems that all of the game’s assets have now been completed.
While Grand Theft Auto 6 might run at 60 fps on the PS5, its output resolution is still a mystery. It’s uncertain how much resolution the game would be able to give if it runs at the desired 60 frames per second. It could be either 1440p or 1080p, if the report is true.
This report came after fans were concerned whether the rumored PS5 Pro console could run GTA 6 at 60 fps or not. Per a recent report by Digital Foundry, the unconfirmed Sony platform might not be able to achieve 60 fps while playing Grand Theft Auto 6, as the leaks confirm only a 10% clock boost on the CPU.
Fans are requested to take everything with a pinch of salt at the moment. Rockstar Games is expected to release the second trailer of GTA 6 very soon.
