GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties fixes an important issue plaguing the game for long

The GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC has brought some major gameplay and quality-of-life changes that fans are loving. Among them, Rockstar Games buffed the Sparrow helicopter and the RM-10 Bombushka plane. They are two of the most prominent aircraft in the multiplayer game, released over four years ago. The studio’s decision to revamp them is certainly appreciated by the community.

Now, players can use the Sparrow and Bombushka more confidently than ever before.

The GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC has been released today (June 25, 2025), and those who have updated their games to the latest patch can already experience the change in the Sparrow and the RM-10 Bombushka.

Rockstar Games official Newswire published on June 5, 2024, stated:

“...buffing defensive and armor capabilities for the Sparrow and Bombushka, and more.”

While the RM-10 Bombushka has both weapon and armor capabilities, the Sparrow used to lack the extra armor protection. Moreover, the latter was quite fragile and used to get destroyed easily. The following were the armor capabilities of both aircraft before the GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC:

RM-10 Bombushka:

Homing Missiles: 3
RPG: 1
Explosive Bullets: 2 rounds

Sparrow:

Homing Missiles: 1
RPG: 1
Explosive Bullets: 2 rounds

The updated stats of these armored vehicles in Grand Theft Auto Online are yet to be tested by the community. However, you should be able to tank more with each of them. Regardless of the new changes, players are advised not to deliberately engage in fights with others as the aircraft are still destroyable.

The buff to the Sparrow is one of the most celebrated changes in the GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC as the helicopter is a crucial part of the Cayo Perico Heist setup missions. It is a moonpool vehicle that you can also use in free roam.

However, the low armor capacity was bugging players for a long, which has now been fixed with the Bottom Dollar Bounties Update.
