Modders and hackers have been a long-standing problem in GTA Online on PC. The latest addition to the list of issues is a Remote Crash Exploit being added to a P2C mod menu, as reported by popular Rockstar Games insider and data miner Tez2, in their latest tweet. The insider has attached a screenshot in the same tweet as well, which might be of the said P2C menu that features tabs like Player Tracker, Player Browser, Session, and a few other tools.
That being said, Tez2 believes that this Remote Crash Exploit should be patched with the upcoming GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC, which will be released on June 25, 2024, on all platforms.
Rockstar insider suggests playing GTA Online in private lobbies to avoid the recently found Remote Crash Exploit
According to Tez2, the recently found P2C menu Remote Crash Exploit is quite limited and should not affect players in private lobbies. They have also mentioned that it doesn't affect one during missions as well, but it would still be better to avoid public lobbies on PC for some time.
Since all GTA Online missions and heists can be played in Invite Only sessions, the emergence of this Remote Crash Exploit shouldn't be too disruptive. As already stated, Tez2 believes that it should be patched with the upcoming DLC, but whether that happens or not remains to be seen.
A Diamond Casino Heist exploit, which reportedly provides hackers with access to players' accounts, also surfaced recently.
In response, Rockstar Games has disabled the Diamond Casino Heist for the time being on PC and has even blocked players from purchasing the Arcade business, which is a prerequisite for executing this job. On the other hand, those who already own an Arcade in the game won't be able to launch the heist or its setup missions.
Whether this exploit will also get patched when the GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties Update releases cannot be determined. Nevertheless, Rockstar has created a specific article for this issue on its official support website and those concerned can keep checking it for updates.
