GTA Online's new gun is not available for some players

It’s 2025, and there’s a new gun in GTA Online that players can now use – the El Strickler. Rockstar Games has brought the assault rifle to the game as part of the Agents of Sabotage DLC content. After being exclusively available for GTA+ subscribers for a month, the weapon has finally been made purchasable. However, some players can’t access it.

GTA Online’s new gun is currently available on the game’s Expanded and Enhanced edition. Only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S users can access it, making it exclusive content for current-gen consoles. The weapon is unavailable for players on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

GTA Online’s new gun is a variant of the Military Rifle

The El Strickler Military Rifle is a variant of the standard Vom Feuer Military Rifle in GTA Online. As per Rockstar Games' in-game description, the newest version of the weapon is designed in the presence of firearms specialist Juan Strickler, the main character players encounter during The Cayo Perico Heist.

Players can buy Grand Theft Auto Online’s new gun from the Gun Van for $695,000. Here’s how the Gun Van describes the weapon:

“Nothing screams “Class Act” like gunning down disloyal lackeys with a gold-plated Military Rifle. This custom design was personally overseen by noted firearms specialist Juan Strickler.”

The assault rifle seems to be based on the real-life Steyr AUG A3; KH-2002 and comes pre-equipped with the following features:

• Scope (Medium-range zoom functionality)
• Extended clip (45 rounds)
• Blue tracer rounds
• Blue-tinted flashlight (Aids low light target acquisition)
• Blue & gold engraved exterior

Players can also buy additional ammo for $120 per 90 rounds.

When it comes to performance, the new Military Rifle performs decently. According to the in-game files, here are its performance stats:

• Damage: 38/100
• Fire Rate: 55/100
• Accuracy: 45/100
• Range: 45/100
• Clip Size: 40/100

While the new El Strickler is unavailable for last-gen console and PC gamers, the bonuses added with the Grand Theft Auto Online weekly update are claimable by all players.

One can also get a new podium vehicle at The Diamond Casino & Resort by January 15, 2025.
