GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition is now free to play on PlayStation Plus

While the GTA 6 wasn’t a part of the Summer Game Fest 2024, GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition is finally free for PS4 and PS5 players via PlayStation Plus. Starting June 7, 2024, PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium members can enjoy the classic Grand Theft Auto title remastered in Unreal Engine 4.

The title is one of the many new games added to the PlayStation Plus catalog for the month.

GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition on PlayStation Plus is available for a limited time

The new PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue is live, allowing PS4 and PS5 players to experience the classic story of Carl "CJ" Johnson in GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition. The story of the game revolves around CJ and his journey to take control of the streets of San Andreas.

In terms of storyline and gameplay content, the GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition has the most missions to complete compared to other 3D-era titles in the series. To achieve the 100% completion rate, here are several things one must have to finish:

1) 100 different missions (101 including the opening)

• 29 missions – Los Santos
• 14 countryside missions – Red County, Whetstone, and Flint County
• 26 missions – San Fierro
• Nine desert missions – Bone County and Tierra Robada
• 19 missions – Las Venturas
• Eight missions – Los Santos (post-return)
• Side missions – Race tournaments, asset missions, stadium events, vehicle missions, vehicle challenges, and attending schools

2) Miscellaneous activities – Export and Import, Spraying 100 tags, Ammu-Nation Shooting Range, Taking 50 snapshots, Collecting 50 Oyesters and Horseshoes

3) Purchasing Five Hotel Suits and 24 properties

4) Learning new in-game moves from three different gyms

5) Maintaining 35% progress with the girlfriend Millie Perkins

While the GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition was plagued with numerous bugs and glitches, it is in a better state in 2024, and PS Plus subscribers shouldn’t miss this opportunity to try the game.
