Rockstar Games has just released a new update for GTA San Andreas' Android and iOS ports. However, it hasn't added any new content and has just made some bug fixes and improvements on both platforms. It should be noted that this is seemingly the original game's mobile port and not that of the Definitive Edition which was released back in December 2023.
An article for this newly released update has been created on Rockstar's official support website, but the fixes and improvements made by it have not been specified. Nevertheless, this shall help in enhancing the classic Grand Theft Auto title's overall experience on compatible Android and iOS devices.
New GTA San Andreas Android and iOS update has made some bug fixes and improvements
As can be seen in the image above, the official support website only mentions "Bug fixes and improvements" in the patch notes of the new GTA San Andreas Android and iOS update.
The title was originally released in 2004 and is one of the most beloved video games ever made. Its popularity has stood the test of time and many continue experiencing it on modern mobile devices. Needless to say, such patches are crucial to ensure that players can keep enjoying the classic game in the best way.
What's interesting is that even a GTA San Andreas VR version is in development, as confirmed by none other than Mark Zuckerberg in 2021. A recent comment by Meta on social media confirmed that it was still in the works. However, its release date or window remains a mystery.
That being said, a VR version of San Andreas has the potential to be a highly unique and entertaining experience, whenever it releases. But until then, fans will have to make do with its mobile, PC, or console ports.
An Android and iOS port of GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition (its 2021 remaster) was also released some months ago. It is available for free to all Netflix subscribers on the two platforms along with Definitive Editions of other classics like GTA 3 and Vice City.
