GTA 6 hasn't even been released yet and has already started collecting awards. On November 21, 2024, the title won the title of “Most Wanted Game” at the Golden Joystick Awards 2024 event. Fans immediately started reacting to the news online, with some among the Grand Theft Auto community celebrating the achievement. GTA 6 could win more awards before its release in 2025
On November 18, 2024, Grand Theft Auto 6 was nominated for the “Most Anticipated Game” at The Game Awards 2024. Four other games are nominated for the award:
- Monster Hunter Wilds
- Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
- Ghost of Yotei
- Death Stranding
The winner will be announced on December 12, 2024. It is also worth noting that the developers could release the highly anticipated trailer 2, which may break some records too, just like the first one which broke three Guinness World Records, including the "most viewed videogame reveal on YouTube in 24 hours."
Fans can expect the game to continue to win more accolades before its release in 2025.
