There’s a new GTA 6 trailer 2 release date theory currently surfacing on the internet. According to it, Rockstar Games might release the second trailer of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto title on December 27, 2024. While the idea has intrigued many in the community, a popular insider Tez2 doesn’t believe in the theory.
Replying to an X post on December 23, 2024, Tez2 said the following:
“It’s neither a troll nor them being 100% on it. It’s pure delusion.”

According to them, the developers would tease something as big as the GTA 6 trailer 2 release from their main accounts. When another fan asked if this meant the trailer wouldn’t drop on December 27, 2024, the insider replied:
“Yes, it’s pure delusion. Rockstar would have announced said trailer by now because that generated more hype and have them break record like last time.”
Here, Tez2 referred to last year when GTA 6 trailer 1 was released and immediately broke three Guinness World Records within 24 hours. The insider believes that Rockstar will follow a similar approach for the second trailer, making an official announcement a few days before its release.
If the GTA 6 trailer 2 coming on December 27, 2024, an official announcement about the same should have been made by now.

On December 19, 2024, one of the Rockstar developers posted a picture of new merchandise on X. Fans noticed a note in the picture, highlighting the number 27 — sparking speculation that it might be a hint at the release date for GTA 6 trailer 2.
Intrigued by the possibility, fans further researched the date, and found other things that lead to the same number 27 — notably the following:
- There are currently 27 posts on Rockstar Games’ Instagram account.
- Rockstar Games NYC was founded on December 27, 1998.
- 27-seconds into the first trailer, there’s a visible ‘27’ on the car’s window
Like Tez2 suggested earlier, all of these are mere speculations. If Rockstar wants to release a second trailer, fans can expect an official announcement from them soon.
