Last chance to collect free items in GTA Online update (December 31, 2024-January 2, 2025)

The first GTA Online update of 2025 is just around the corner. This means all the ongoing boosted payouts and rewards will be replaced with newer ones upon its release. While Rockstar keeps shuffling such in-game bonuses with weekly updates, players won’t be able to get some things again for free for quite some time – the holiday gifts.

Till 2 am PST on January 2, 2025, players can collect a couple of festive-themed items for free, including a weapon and some apparel items. Here's how you can claim these freebies in the current GTA Online update.

GTA Online update: List of all holiday gifts and how to claim them (December 31, 2024-January 2, 2025)

As part of the ongoing GTA Online weekly update, here are some free items that players can currently collect:

• Festive Penguin Onesie
• Gold Star Fitted Jacket
• Gold Reindeer Pendant
• Gold Star Fitted Pants
• Snowball Launcher
• 20 Rockets and Firework Launcher
• Full Snacks
• Full Armor
• Full Ammo

To claim these, all players have to do is simply log in to the popular multiplayer title any time before 2 am PST, January 2, 2025. Apart from that, the ongoing Happy Holidays Hauler event is currently giving free items to players in the free roam, including:

• eCola Festive Sweater
• Sprunk Festive Sweater

Like other limited-time events, the Happy Holidays Hauler will end in the upcoming Grand Theft Auto Online update.

Which other bonuses and random events end in the upcoming GTA Online update?

All of the following holidays-themed random events and activities will end this Thursday:

• Weazel Plaza Shootout
• Yeti Hunt
• Snowmen locations
• The Gooch
• Entourage (Festive Remix) adversary mode

Moreover, the following in-game bonuses will end:

• 3x cash on Entourage (Festive Remix)
• 2x cash on Darnell Bros Garment Factory passive income
• 2x cash on pizza delivery missions
• 2x cash on Dispatch Work missions

While many of the random events and activities will end this week, most of the collectibles and events will stay active for the foreseeable future. These are some of the elements that players will still be able to find throughout 2025:
