Major GTA Online bug affects Union Depository Contract players: Report

A recent tweet by X user @PSsharePS5 has brought a major GTA Online bug to light that reportedly affects an Auto Shop Robbery Contract. They faced an issue when trying to stash their vehicle at marked locations in the Union Depository Contract, the highest paying of all Robbery Contracts. @PSsharePS5 also said that they had tried to overcome the bug by switching sessions, but that didn't work.

Rockstar Games has recently fixed countless bugs and issues with the Bottom Dollar Bounties update and some more via a background update that was reportedly released on July 2, 2024. However, it looks like this one was somehow overlooked.

As can be seen in the video above, stopping at the yellow mission markers has no effect despite the game instructing the player to do so. This means there is no way to progress any further in this particular Auto Shop Robbery Contract, and players have essentially been blocked from utilizing one of the title's best money-makers.

While @PSsharePS5's tweet only mentions the Union Depository Contract, other Auto Shop Robbery Contracts might also be suffering from similar GTA Online bugs. That being said, any issues related to other Contracts have seemingly not yet been reported.

Rockstar Games usually fixes such issues via background GTA Online updates, but there is no way to tell exactly when this new bug will get patched. Thus, players will have to utilize other money-makers in the meantime, such as business sell missions, heists, or the Agency's VIP Contract.

This summer's Bottom Dollar Bounties update has also introduced new missions whose payouts are not outstanding, but the content is rather entertaining. Therefore, one can remain busy with all the new content (and more likely arriving soon from the update's drip feed) until this GTA Online bug gets patched.
