GTA San Andreas revolutionized the gaming industry back when it launched in 2004. The Rockstar Games title featured things that were well ahead of its time and that, along with memorable characters and a riveting storyline, made it a fan-favorite. A recent example of its popularity comes from American professional basketball player Terrence Shannon Jr, who has tattooed one of the game's cheat codes on his forearm.

This was apparently pointed out first on X by @TWolvesLead, and then confirmed by Minnesota Timberwolves (@Timberwolves), the team for which Shannon Jr currently plays in the NBA. There were some interesting comments on these posts, with a few even stating how he isn't the first to do something like this.

Read on to know more.

In response to @TWolvesLead's query, Minnesota Timberwolves' official X account uploaded a clear image of Terrence Shannon Jr's arm that boasts a GTA San Andreas cheat code.

This is the PlayStation version of the Infinite Ammunition cheat which, needless to say, is one of the more popular codes among players. As is evident from its name, it can be used to get infinite ammunition in GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition on PS4 and PS5 as well.

As mentioned previously, there were some interesting reactions to the NBA player's tattoo, some of which can be viewed in the following image:

Few even pointed out how Devonte Green, another professional basketball player, had the exact same tattoo on his arm.

Both of these instances are great examples of San Andreas' popularity among the masses. The game will soon celebrate its 20th anniversary and sits right behind Grand Theft Auto 5, and ahead of Grand Theft Auto 4, as the second best-selling installment in the series as of this writing.

The next entry in the series, Grand Theft Auto 6, might challenge GTA San Andreas for this accolade, given the amount of excitement around it, but that remains to be seen. Notably, fans are expecting more information on the upcoming title close to Take-Two Interactive's August 2024 earnings call.
