A new GTA 6 artwork has surfaced online and is being speculated by some as a leak. The image features the upcoming title's protagonists — Lucia and her partner (reportedly named Jason) — in a car, both armed. It also features the Grand Theft Auto logo as well as the "coming 2025" branding present in the title's first official artwork. In the background are some buildings and palm trees, somewhat resembling Vice City's skyline.
Rockstar Games hasn't commented on this alleged leak so far, and most fans on social media seem convinced that the artwork is fake/fan-made. Hence, readers are also advised to take it with a grain of salt.
Fans react to allegedly leaked GTA 6 artwork featuring Lucia and her partner
@GTAVI_Countdown, a Grand Theft Auto 6 fan page on X, uploaded the allegedly leaked artwork and asked the title's community for their opinion. As mentioned, most fans think that it is fake or fan-made. Some termed it AI-generated, whereas others called it out for being blurry, which is a tactic often used to pass off such things as a genuine leak.
Back in September 2022, when the title's development clips had leaked online, Rockstar Games had them taken down quickly. The developer then addressed the fans on the issue with a tweet, confirming the footage to be real. Even when the first GTA 6 trailer leaked several hours before its planned release time last year, Rockstar provided a confirmation of that happening on X. Here is the latter tweet:
Nothing like this has happened with this new artwork so far, further suggesting it is likely fake. Hence, readers are once again reminded to take this alleged leak with a grain of salt and only trust information coming directly from Rockstar Games or its parent company Take-Two Interactive.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to release at some point during Fall 2025, so the developer might share more about it, such as screenshots or a new trailer, in the near future.
