Players had been experiencing issues with completing the GTA Online Special Race Series Daily Challenge; however, it seems that a new update has fixed it. According to a recent report on X by reputable insider Tez2, a background update has changed the Daily Challenge and it now requires gamers to “Participate in the Featured Series” instead. However, the solution might not be welcomed by some players.

As can be seen above, Tez2 reported the tunable GTA Online update that swapped the Daily Challenge from “Participate in Special Race Series” to “Participate in the Featured Series”. However, moments later, they again shared a post on X reporting something important about the change.
According to Tez2, those who logged in to Grand Theft Auto Online before the background update was released cannot complete today’s Daily Challenge. Here’s what they stated after the swapping of GTA Online Special Race Series:
“Players who logged in today prior to this update going live wouldn’t reflect the new Daily Challenge and will be unable to complete today’s challenge as Special Vehicle Races have been vaulted.”
They suggested that Rockstar Games would have to un-vault the Special Vehicle Races in GTA Online to make it work, which at the time of writing, hasn’t happened.
While players won’t be able to participate in the GTA Online Special Race Series challenge today, here are some other things still available for those who like to hustle in Los Santos:
