The gaming community has been eagerly waiting for Rockstar Games to drop GTA 6 news. There has been uncertainty regarding the upcoming title’s release, as many fear a delay due to the lack of new information about it in 2024. Like many fans of the game, popular insider Tez2 shared their thoughts on the developing situation.
On December 30, 2024, Tez2 posted on a GTAForums thread that a GTA 6 announcement could be made either in February or May 2025. Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has their earnings call with investors scheduled during these months. According to the insider, the developers may share GTA 6 news before or on the day of an earnings call.
GTA 6 news could come as a release date announcement: Report
As seen in the aforementioned screenshot, Tez2 stated that Rockstar shares the exact release date of its titles in late January or early February of the release year. They continued:
“So, if it’s not a delay announcement, we can expect the release date announcement.”
The insider further mentioned the reason why some fans possibly fear a GTA 6 delay. They stated that the second trailers of both Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption were released two to four months before the release date confirmation. However, Rockstar hasn’t released the highly anticipated GTA 6 trailer 2 yet.
This seemingly indicates that the developers are straying from their usual schedule, raising concerns about a delay. According to Tez2, fans may get to know if the game is delayed or not in a month.
While fans are concerned about a possible delay of the game, analysts have projected its revenue.
