A popular Rockstar Games insider expects Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 to be teased officially in September or October this year. Several reports in the past have suggested that the sequel could finally be presented formally to the fans in 2023. While its release still seems quite distant, there have been reasons to believe it could be revealed in this year's latter half.

Despite the credibility these data miners have gained recently, fans are advised to take all the information with a grain of salt. With that said, let's take a closer look at why a prominent insider expects the upcoming game to be teased officially in the coming months.

As per Tez2, a well-known Grand Theft Auto and Rockstar Games insider, GTA 6's official tease could be arriving in September or October this year. The leaker expects this to happen as part of Rockstar Games' celebration of GTA Online's 10th anniversary. This significant milestone could be utilized to announce the highly anticipated future title through an in-game event.

Tez2 talked about how a Red Dead Redemption 2-related treasure hunt in Grand Theft Auto Online was used for a similar purpose. Hence, the leaker expects the developers to follow a familiar route. The Summer update might include indications of such an in-game event, which Tez2 can possibly data-mine and reveal to the general public by July 2023.

Rockstar Games officially revealed their last two major titles, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto V, via trailers at least two years before release. In Take-Two's recently held earnings call, the hosts announced an anticipated $8bn in Net Bookings come Fiscal Year 2025.

While Take-Two hasn't confirmed anything, we can assume the proposed revenue generation to be a by-product of GTA 6's release around that period. Hence, if the sequel is supposed to come out by 2025, an official tease or reveal will likely happen in September or October 2023.
