It’s Christmas Eve today, and Rockstar Games has already fixed an issue that temporarily removed two GTA Online vehicles. As reported by popular insider Tez2 on December 23, 2024, the developers fixed the issue and made the Declasse Yosemite 1500 and Vulcar Nebula Turbo purchasable once again.
The insider also revealed how the developers managed to fix the issue despite being on holiday.
GTA Online issue being fixed suggests that Rockstar works during holidays if needed
As seen from the above-mentioned post, Tez2 reported that the issue with the GTA Online’s Declasse Yosemite 1500 and Vulcar Nebula Turbo has been fixed. When a fan asked the insider about how Rockstar Games managed to fix the issue while being on holiday, here’s what they said:
“Pushing changes to tunables is doable remotely. Especially after the pandemic. It’s something you can do in under 10 minutes, after which you quickly get back to enjoying your holiday.”
This revealed how Rockstar managed to listen to players’ feedback and implement the fix despite being on holiday.
Tez2 further explained the difference between a background update and a tunable. According to them, here’s how a background update works:
“It has to be tested before going live. It is why you often see such updates being deployed frequently before the holiday break, as it serves as the deadline.”
For tunable variables, however, things are different:
“Any tunable variable, on the other hand, was already tested before we received the update.”
The issue with the two GTA Online vehicles first came to light a few days ago when some fans were unable to find them in the game. Tez2 confirmed via an X post that Rockstar erroneously missed out on enabling these two vehicles due to which they were temporarily unavailable.
Keep in mind that no new GTA Online weekly update is expected to be released this week. The last week’s Holidays event will continue in Los Santos till January 1, 2025. Here are some aspects of the title that gamers can check out during the holidays:
- Bravado Banshee GTS
- Invetero Coquette D10 Pursuit
- Willard Outreach Faction
- Snowmen locations
- Yeti Hunt locations
- Happy Holidays Hauler
- Dispatch Work
