"Pretending I've got early access": Someone recreated GTA 6 Jason's driving shot from the trailer, and fans loved it

Ever since the first GTA 6 trailer was released in December 2023, fans have recreated its shots, and sometimes the entire trailer itself, in other video games and even in real life. The most recent instance of this comes from Reddit user u/Dry-Hall-794, who has recreated a shot from the trailer featuring the upcoming title's alleged male protagonist, Jason.

Since GTA 6 will be set in Leonida, which looks to be Rockstar Games' iteration of Florida, the OP jokes about getting early access in the post's title. Here's what they said:

The post has over three thousand upvotes as of this writing, which, along with the comments, goes to show that fans have loved this recreation. For example, u/drawmewithamoustache joked about it being indistinguishable from the actual shot.

Another user, u/JaqenHgar23, joked about the OP playing the Grand Theft Auto sequel in VR, with u/pryvisee requesting them to turn this into a recreation series.

Jokes aside, the Grand Theft Auto community has been on the hunt for Jason's actual actor for quite some time now. However, the search has been complicated as the character doesn't speak much in the GTA 6 trailer. In fact, he only utters one word and has his face covered in front-on shots.

The Grand Theft Auto community is eagerly looking forward to the release of the next GTA 6 trailer, but Rockstar Games hasn't stated anything about it so far. Fans have, thus, kept themselves entertained in different ways, one of which has been recreations of the trailer like the one above from Redditor u/Dry-Hall-794.

As far as Jason is concerned, barely anything has been revealed about him officially. In fact, his name itself is yet to be officially confirmed. That being said, fans expect more of the character to be revealed in the next trailer since the first one focused on Lucia, Grand Theft Auto 6's female protagonist.

Whether that happens or not remains to be seen, with a release window for the next trailer being a mystery at this point itself. Nevertheless, it might drop by the end of this year if Rockstar follows a marketing pattern similar to its previous major releases for this title.
