5 real-life weapons fans want from GTA Online Summer Update 2024

Grand Theft Auto fans have been making lists of things they want to see from the GTA Online Summer Update 2024, and this includes some real-life weapons as well. Grand Theft Auto Online has a large collection of weapons, and several of these were only added with the last few content updates. Real-life weapons fans want in GTA Online Summer Update 2024

1) Colt Python

The Colt Python was first introduced in the series with Grand Theft Auto Vice City in 2002. Back in the 3D Universe, real-life weapons would often have their real names displayed, and the Python became a fan-favorite due to its incredible stopping power in-game.

It reappeared in Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories (as the Equalizer), Chinatown Wars (as the Revolver), and was even supposed to appear in Grand Theft Auto 4. So, fans deserve an HD Universe remake of this iconic revolver, and the GTA Online Summer Update 2024 is the best opportunity to add it back.

2) AA-12

If you're an avid Grand Theft Auto fan, you may remember using the AA-12 in The Ballad of Gay Tony. This Grand Theft Auto 4 expansion added some new and modern real-life weapons, and the AA-12, introduced as the Automatic Shotgun, was probably one of the best.

The 20-round drum magazine made it devastating, and there was also an additional variant with explosive ammo. This variant could destroy vehicles and the advanced physics engine made it fun to play around with, as cars would get pushed around. So, the GTA Online Summer Update 2024 should add the AA-12, especially the explosive round variant.

The Honey Badger is an iconic personal defense weapon that is chambered in the powerful .300 AAC Blackout. The weapon is an assault rifle with the compactness of a submachine gun. As such, it's extremely effective in CQB situations.

The Reddit user behind the post suggested that Rockstar add this weapon to the GTA Online Summer Update 2024 as the upgraded Mk II variant of the already existing Combat PDW.

4) CZ Scorpion Evo 3

The CZ Scorpion Evo 3 is a Czech 9mm carbine, which is often considered a successor to the iconic Škorpion vz. 61, an SMG popular among WTO forces in the Cold War. Rockstar already has the Škorpion in two different games - GTA Vice City Stories and Grand Theft Auto Online - where it appears as the Scorpion and the Mini SMG, respectively.

As mentioned before, real-life weapons used to appear in their original forms or with their original names in the 3D Universe. Meanwhile, the new Scorpion Evo 3 would fit in perfectly if it was introduced as a modern pistol caliber carbine in the GTA Online Summer Update 2024.

5) KRISS Vector

The KRISS Vector is one of those real-life weapons that's almost guaranteed to make an appearance in stealth games. However, it's yet to make an appearance in any Grand Theft Auto title. The Ghost Recon games often feature this iconic SMG, which, unlike most futuristic-looking real-life weapons, is actually functional and quite efficient at that.

The upcoming GTA Online Summer Update 2024 should introduce this as an advanced modern SMG, instead of adding futuristic gimmicky weapons firing laser or plasma.

SIG Sauer P229: The P229 is an upgraded compact variant of the popular P226 pistol that is used by armed forces worldwide. This model is quite popular among US Police, as it's designed for concealed carry and is capable of firing more powerful rounds than the P226. The different rounds include .22 LR, 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 SIG.

Springfield Armory M1A: The Springfield Armory M1A rifle is the civilian and law enforcement variant of the iconic M14 rifle. If this is introduced to Grand Theft Auto Online, it would be quite similar to the Marksman Rifle, which is based on the M39 EMR and can be considered an alternative to the Mk 14 EBR.
