Recent rumors suggest that Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 could be announced in October 2023. While Rockstar Games haven't given any indications for the same, the upcoming title's Metacritic website page has just surfaced on the internet, stirring trailer reveal rumors among fans.

Metacritic is a site where one can view critics as well as audience/user ratings for movies, TV shows, and video games.

Needless to say, there aren't any ratings for Grand Theft Auto 6 on the website yet since the game isn't out. However, its dedicated page appearing out of the blue has prompted many to believe that an official announcement might be imminent.

The Metacritic page for Grand Theft Auto 6 has garnered significant attention as many believe it to be an indication of the GTA 6 announcement date being close. The website is, naturally, mostly blank since the game is yet to be released, but it, interestingly, lists only the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X as platforms.

PC is notably missing from this category; however, that isn't very surprising since Rockstar often releases their games a little late on PCs.

Grand Theft Auto 4, Grand Theft Auto 5, and Red Dead Redemption 2 were all released only on consoles initially.

Under the Credits section on Grand Theft Auto 6's Metacritic page, Sam Houser has been mentioned as the producer, Terry McGinnis as the associate producer, and Dylan McCrone has been credited for the production design. The site also features a description; however, it doesn't reveal any details about the game.

Rumors proposed October 26, 2023, as the announcement date for Grand Theft Auto 6. There have also been reports about Take-Two Interactive (Rockstar's parent company) allegedly requesting the GTA6.com domain.

The game's Metacritic page popping up around the same time has, hence, added fuel to the fire, prompting many to believe that Rockstar might drop a GTA 6 trailer in the very near future.

That said, it is also likely that this website has just been put up in preparation for whenever the title gets announced officially.
