The Bilibili (a Chinese website) version of the first official GTA 6 trailer is gaining a lot of attention from Grand Theft Auto fans at the moment, as it has seemingly higher-quality visuals than the trailer's YouTube version. This has resulted in some really intriguing and previously missed visual features coming to light, including intricate details in Lucia's character model.
Lucia is Grand Theft Auto 6's protagonist, and while it is expected of her model to look sharp due to that reason, fans still seem to be quite intrigued by the level of detail put in by Rockstar Games.
Redditor u/Ray_T9L posted a screenshot of the character from the Bilibili trailer version, highlighting that she even has acne scars.
"She even has acne scars on the bilibili version 😭 we're not ready for this game."
A different Reddit post (featuring the same screenshot) by u/MasterFish19 focused on her hair, which too seems to have impressed fans.
Over on X, @GameRollGTA pointed out more intriguing details from the GTA 6 trailer's Bilibili version, such as the hair on Lucia's arm.
They further highlighted the wrinkled textures on the character's lips in a close-up shot. This detail can be seen in the character model for Lucia's partner (allegedly named Jason) as well.
Apart from the lead characters, the fanbase also looks quite impressed by the level of detail in NPC character models. For instance, @GameRollGTA suggested the presence of stretch marks on an NPC:
Bilibili version of the first GTA 6 trailer intrigues Grand Theft Auto fans
Grand Theft Auto 6's first official trailer debuted back in early December 2023. While most fans are waiting for GTA 6 trailer 2, their interest in the former looks somewhat rejuvenated after the recent discovery of a seemingly higher-quality version (as suggested by its viewers) on the Chinese website Bilibili.
The better image quality in this variant has brought previously unnoticed details to the surface, the most prominent among which are related to the upcoming title's character models.
It will be interesting to see if the level of detail improves in any future media (trailers or screenshots) that Rockstar might share leading up to GTA 6's release in Fall 2025 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, as of this writing, there have been no official announcements about if/when anything of the sort can be expected to be showcased.
