While GTA 6 is expected to include many new features, there might also be a few returning ones from the series' previous entries. For instance, businesses might return in the upcoming game as they have been an integral part of GTA Online. Out of all the latter's businesses, Auto Shops capture the interest of players as they include fun ways to make money like Auto Shop Robbery Contracts, Client Jobs, and Exotic Exports.
These are some things that GTA 6 could also use to offer exciting gameplay outside of story missions, and hence, Auto Shops should return in it. Having said that, implementing some changes can make this business even more interesting.

Auto Shops should return in GTA 6 albeit with some changes
Auto Shops Robbery Contracts are like heists, Client Jobs require customizing a customer's car as per their instructions, and Exotic Exports involve stealing and delivering a set of cars in exchange for cash.
Although Contracts have a higher payout, Client Jobs have the potential to offer a lot more. The gameplay here is basic but acts as a nice escape from action-packed missions and could do the same if it returns in GTA 6. However, Rockstar Games should provide players more room for creative freedom to improve upon it.
For example, they can be combined with Exotic Exports, essentially allowing one to not only repair a customer's vehicle, but also steal some from the streets of Vice City, customize them as they want, and then sell them. The payout can depend on the car's quality and modifications done.
Additionally, each purchasable Auto Shop property should vary in terms of exterior as well as interior design. Cheaper shops should look rudimentary and the more expensive properties can be lavish, possibly like the Sunshine Autos showroom in GTA Vice City.
This would bring uniqueness to each property, give players more cosmetic styles for their businesses in GTA 6, and provide them with a worthy upgrade to work towards in story mode or even online.
Auto Shop Robbery Contracts can also return as an aspect of this business in GTA 6 story mode, letting players carry out different types of heists as Lucia and her partner, allegedly named Jason.
Not only do they have a hefty payout, but they are quite fun to play. That being said, these heists don't have to be on a grand scale like in GTA Online, since grounded stories are where Grand Theft Auto's core themes lie.
Another reason for Auto Shops' popularity is that they allow storage for up to 10 personal vehicles in GTA Online. This perk could be useful in GTA 6 as well, but storage capacity should vary in each property to make players put in more thought regarding which Auto Shop they choose.
