Grand Theft Auto fans have been waiting for GTA 6 trailer 2 throughout 2024. It will soon be a year since the first trailer dropped, but there's still no indication from Rockstar Games about when we can expect the next one. That said, some interesting developments have taken place this year regarding the title, such as fall 2025 being confirmed as its official release window, and more recently, it being nominated in The Game Awards' 'Most Anticipated Game' category.

Reacting to the nomination, fans are optimistic that Rockstar Games' upcoming title will win. That said, some also expect new footage at the event if the game wins. X user @zydeah said this on a post about the nomination:

User @ABTOPUTET61 replied to the post, expressing excitement about the possibility:

"YOO, THAT'S REALLY CAN BE FOR REAL! In Game Awards show trailer 2... this gonna be wild!"

Another fan, @DylanWi14061221, left a similar comment, suggesting that GTA 6 could easily win the award at The Game Awards and that the second trailer might be shown right after.

"In my opinion, GTA6 will easily win the award for Most Anticipated Game. I predict they’ll announce during the event that the team couldn’t be there in person, but they have something special to share. Then, boom Trailer 2 drops, and maybe even a release date! Probably not though"

While they also highlighted the chances of this happening unlikely, there are still those hoping to get something related to the Grand Theft Auto sequel at or before the event.

A similar discussion took place on Reddit as well, where u/Human_Ad8460 hoped for GTA 6 trailer 2 at The Game Awards. A section of the fanbase appears skeptical about it, but again, a few are onboard with the possibility.
