GTA fans are extremely fond of fan theories, and it's one of the main things that has kept the Grand Theft Auto series alive. Redditor Queasy_Commercial152 recently asked the community who would win a fight between two of the most popular protagonists:
“Who would win in a fight? Tommy Vercetti vs Trevor Philips”
Van_Halen_Panama1984 hilariously gave the following response:
“The angry one”
Trevor Philips is known as one of the angriest characters in the Grand Theft Auto series. He can do anything to get going and behaves unpredictably. Rockstar Games also gave him the Invulnerability Special Ability, which makes him angrier and nearly indestructible. Trevor’s capacity to survive even bomb explosions is one of the craziest details in GTA 5.
Many other fans also vouched for Trevor Philips against Tommy Vercetti. Most of them cited the character’s insanity and special ability as the main reason.
However, Tommy Vercetti fans didn't fall behind and cited various reasons he’d win the fight against Trevor Philips.
Note that Tommy Vercetti is one of the most badass protagonists in the GTA series, who journeyed from rags to riches with his own experiences. His life story includes some of the most iconic moments in Vice City that still compel fans to replay the game.
MyNameJeff70707 smartly defined both protagonists as,
“So Precise skills Vs Chaotic skills…hmm…”
Of course, precise skills refer to Tommy Vercetti and chaotic skills refer to Trevor Philips.
Will Tommy Vercetti return in GTA 6?
Although Tommy Vercetti was the kingpin of 3D Universe Vice City, he might not appear in Grand Theft Auto 6. The upcoming game takes place in the HD Universe. Although Rockstar Games uses the same cities, they bear major differences. Characters of the 3D Universe never directly appear in the HD Universe.
Therefore, it's highly unlikely we will physically see the popular protagonist in the upcoming game. However, Rockstar Games should add Tommy Vercetti references in GTA 6. In Grand Theft Auto 5, you can find lookalikes of Carl “CJ” Johnson, Sweet, and Big Smoke during the Hood Safari mission, where the characters visit Grove Street. We can expect to see similar Easter eggs in the upcoming game as well.
