Rockstar Games officially teased the upcoming GTA Online Summer 2024 update to bring back Maude Eccles to the multiplayer game. The popular Story Mode character is known for providing Bounty Hunter missions that offer great rewards upon completion. The last time Maude appeared in the multiplayer game was in July 2018. Veteran players are excited to see what new missions and rewards she will bring in 2024.

However, considering the unpredictable nature of Rockstar Games, one should not have high expectations. This article discusses what not to expect from the upcoming Bounty Hunting business in the GTA Online Summer DLC 2024.

How the GTA Online Bounty Hunter business might turn out after the Summer Update

Rockstar Games defined the upcoming gameplay as:

“This summer, it’s time for some (high-value) target practice to clean up the roving reprobates of Southern San Andreas with your very own bail enforcement and bounty hunting business in the next major update for GTA Online.”

Even though the Newswire labeled Bounty Hunting as a new business in the series, Rockstar is notorious for its wordplay. Thus, the most reliable explanation for this job is that Maude Eccles introduces Bounty Hunting as a new series of contract missions in the multiplayer game, and players can complete them to make money.

One should note that the studio might add only five or six Bounty Hunting missions. The payouts can be expected to range between $15,000 to $20,000. Summer DLCs in the game usually contain fewer gameplay features. Therefore, do not expect the Bounty Hunting business to be a great money-making job in GTA Online.

The last time Maude Eccles appeared in the multiplayer game, she gave players Bounty Target missions. The rewards for this GTA Online mission series were the Stone Hatchet and money. It was a promotional activity by Rockstar Games to promote the then-unreleased Red Dead Redemption 2.

One could argue that the upcoming Bounty Hunting business may include some teasers for GTA 6. While the possibility cannot be ruled out, the chances of that happening are low for the following reasons:

  • Maude introduced the missions only three months before RDR 2’s release.
  • There is still over a year left for GTA 6’s release.

Nonetheless, players should follow every little detail in the next GTA Online DLC, especially the Bounty Hunting business.
