The vehicle instantly became popular after its release as Rockstar Games offers some special customizations and features for it. The Fathom FR36 is one of the few cars that are eligible for Drift Races in GTA Online, thanks to the Drift Tuning Modification. It is one of the latest car tunings in the multiplayer game that disables all other upgrades and makes the vehicle a complete drift car.
The Drift Tuning Modification is one of the USPs of the FR36 as it was launched exclusively with it. You can drive the car to the LS Car Meet workshop and apply the upgrade. However, this feature not only disables other upgrades but also makes the vehicle difficult to control for regular drivers. Therefore, the Fathom FR36 should be applied with the Drift Tuning Modification only if you are an expert drifter.
Rockstar Games should also consider the FR36 as one of the returning drift cars in Grand Theft Auto 6.
The GTA Online car has a simple rounded body that can fool anyone into thinking of it as a normal vehicle. However, Rockstar Games offers plenty of regular customizations that can completely change its looks. Players can also build a sleeper version of the Fathom FR36 by simply customizing the engine and a few other internal components, and leaving the outer body as it is.
