GTA Online will soon be playable on the next-gen consoles, and one of its most advertised new features is the upcoming Career Builder. According to Rockstar Games, this new feature will allow new players (and old players seeking to reset their character) access to one of four businesses.
The four businesses are:
- Office (Executive)
- Bunker (Gunrunner)
- Nightclub Owner (Nightclub)
- Biker (Clubhouse)
Each business offers something new and unique for GTA Online players to enjoy, but some of the choices will be more valuable than others. Everybody will have a different playstyle, so it's worth looking at each individual option one by one.
Looking at all four businesses from GTA Online's new Career Builder feature
Career Builder will give players one of four businesses, along with $4,000,000 for them to spend it on various items. GTA Online players need to remember that they will only get to keep $1,000,000:
"It all depends on how you want to spend your dispensation, and you can bring a maximum of GTA $1,000,000 from this with you into GTA Online."
Otherwise, beginners will have a generous headstart compared to old GTA Online players from yesteryear.
Executives
Executives can own offices in GTA Online, which generally serve as headquarters for an organization. Owning an office is necessary to run several properties, such as:
- Office Garages
- Vehicle Warehouses
- Warehouses
These properties will allow players to reap in the full benefits of being a CEO, including the following abilities:
- Request Luxury Helicopter ($5,000)
- Drop Bullshark Testosterone ($1,000)
- Drop Ammo ($1,000)
- Drop Super Heavy Armor ($1,500)
- Ghost Organization ($12,000)
- Bribe Authorities ($15,000)
- Spectate Bodyguards (free)
Not only that, but they can also request over a dozen vehicles (free in some cases). This Career Builder option for CEO is one of the best ones to have, as either it or being a Biker is necessary to run several other businesses and heists.
It's generally more helpful than Bikers as a Career Builder option, thanks to the aforementioned abilities.
Gunrunners
A bunker property is one of the best properties that a GTA Online player can own. However, this Career Builder option will be expensive for new players at first, particularly because of the Research feature. It allows players to discover new items (some of which are very useful), but it will either take up a lot of the player's time or money.
Fast-tracking costs $225,000 per project, and the rewards players get are random. On the bright side, the missions can be profitable and don't require the player to own another business. Every GTA Online player should consider owning a bunker early on, making it a strong choice for the Career Builder feature.
Nightclub owners
Unsurprisingly, being a nightclub owner allows players to own a nightclub in GTA Online. It's an okay option for Career Builder if the new player wants to focus more on passive income and the Oppressor Mk II. Owning a nightclub is a requirement to get the Terrorbyte, which in turn is needed to upgrade the Oppressor Mk II.
It's not necessarily the most efficient business to own first, but it's arguably the most fun one of this bunch. Ideally, the player should own other businesses to maximize their profits from the Warehouse Management feature.
Bikers
Motorcycle Clubs are an alternative to organizations in GTA Online. However, they do have some different abilities to make them stand out by comparison:
- Can turn friendly fire on or off
- Includes a "Riding Formation" that can heal, provide armor regeneration, and boost speed for two to eight bikers
- Drop Bull Shark Testosterone ($1,000)
- Request Vehicle ($1,000)
- Request Motorcycle
It's worth noting that some of these abilities are limited to a player's ranking (such as President or Vice-President). Generally speaking, the abilities are weaker than what an Executive can get. However, Bikers can also run several MC Businesses, which can provide a good moneymaker for players who don't mind a little bit of grinding.
Players can own both a motorcycle club and an office, but they can't be an MC President and CEO at the same time. As far as Career Builder options go, it's a solid start, although its abilities and grindy nature can turn away some players.
Short summary of the Career Builder options
Of the four options, being an Executive is the safest option. It's a necessity to run several businesses as a CEO (which is an alternative to being an MC President), and it has more general practical abilities than the Biker path. Similarly, nightclubs and bunkers require more investment and take time to be useful, making them not as helpful as a first business venture in GTA Online.
That said, GTA Online players can pick any Career Builder option and be successful, especially if they grind The Cayo Perico Heist early.
