Vehicles featured in Grand Theft Auto (GTA) Online come in all shapes and sizes. Where some boast an elite and luxurious design, others have a robust and intimidating build. Among such vehicles is the unique BF Weevil Custom. The Weevil Custom falls under the Muscle Cars category and was added on October 27, 2022, under the Criminal Enterprises update.
Despite its unusual look, most players will be surprised to find out that it is one of the fastest cars in the game, despite the vehicle lacking in certain aspects. Let's take a look at why Grand Theft Auto Online players must avoid the BF Weevil Custom after The Last Dose update.
Reasons why players should avoid BF Weevil Custom after The Last Dose update in GTA Online
The BF Weevil Custom can hit a top speed of 137.50 mph or 221.28 km/h, making it one of the fastest cars in GTA Online. To acquire this vehicle, players must first purchase the BF Weevil base model for $870,000 and then modify it into the Weevil Custom for an additional $980,000 at Benny's Original Motor Works.
Within such a price range, there are several alternatives available that offer a much better overall package.
While its top speed can be matched only by the likes of the Annis ZR380, one of the fastest JDM cars in GTA Online, the rest of its attributes leave much to be desired. Here is a rundown of BF Weevil Custom's statistics from Rockstar Games' official website :
- Speed - 85.77
- Acceleration - 84.38
- Brakes - 25.83
- Handling - 63.86
All of these contribute towards an overall rating of just 64.96, which is rather poor. The design is inspired by the real-life Volkswagen Beetle Rat Rod and does not look great.
Fortunately, there are many customization options and upgrades available. However, even after complete armor upgradation, it can withstand only a few of the following explosives :
Homing Missile/ Oppressor Missiles/ Jet Missiles - 1
- RPG/ Grenades/ Sticky Bombs/ MOC Cannon - 1
- Explosive Rounds - 2
- Tank Cannon - 1
- Anti-Aircraft Trailer Dual 20mm FLAK - 1
The cost of upgrading the vehicle to the maximum capacity is about $459,455. Interestingly, these statistics remain the same even with the base armor. Thus, there isn't much return on investment performance-wise with the BF Weevil Custom.
After The Last Dose update, players can also get the Ocelot Virtue in GTA Online for free. While its top speed is slower than the Weevil Custom, it looks good, has excellent acceleration, and is highly durable. Hence, outside of a situation where the objective is to add all GTA Online vehicles to one's collection, players must avoid the BF Weevil Custom.
