Will GTA 6 trailer 2 release before 2025? Possibilities explored

After more than a year since the first trailer and countless fan theories, GTA 6 trailer 2 is still not here. Rockstar Games has maintained complete silence on the sequel, providing no hint of when to expect more on the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto installment. The only information related to it that arrived this year was its Fall 2025 release window, which was announced at a Take-Two Interactive earnings call in May 2024.

However, some fans are hopeful of getting GTA 6 trailer 2 before the end of this year, which is only a few days away. Unfortunately, that does not seem too likely to happen.

Could Rockstar Games release GTA 6 trailer 2 before 2025?

Rockstar Games released the first GTA 6 trailer in early December 2023, and while fans hoped for more reveals in 2024, nothing except its Fall 2025 release window has been revealed so far. There were various points in the last few months where a second trailer was expected to be released, such as on the first trailer's anniversary, or at The Game Awards 2024 (where GTA 6 won the Most Anticipated Game award).

Fans also came up with several theories predicting a possible release date for the same, such as the infamous Moon Theory, which suggested a November 22 release, and more recently, the December 27 GTA 6 trailer 2 theory. Needless to say, none of them turned out to be correct.

So, is it possible that GTA 6 trailer 2 will be released before 2025? Sadly, it doesn't seem like that could happen.

As mentioned, GTA 6 is supposed to launch at some point during Fall 2025, which would kick in around September, and Rockstar usually doesn't drop second trailers more than six months before launch. You may point out that those for GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 (both Fall releases) came out well before that period. However, you must note that these titles were supposed to launch during the Spring of their respective release years when their second trailers arrived.

So, it looks like we may have to wait a bit more to see GTA 6's second trailer. We could get some news regarding that in February 2025, as Take-Two Interactive (Rockstar Games' parent company) could hold an earnings call then based on previous patterns, but that remains to be seen.

Having said that, given how Rockstar is pretty much unpredictable, we cannot rule out the possibility completely, no matter how slim the chances appear to be at the moment.
