GTA Online is a 10-year-old game at this point and it has a few bugs and glitches that appear suddenly. While the Expanded and Enhanced version is considered the best version so far, one player recently faced a bizarre bug in their game. Reddit user Aurnith (u/SnooHobbies3861) shared a video on the r/gtaonline subreddit demonstrating the bug. They asked:
“Can anyone explain what just happened? Mermaid man & barnacle boy's invisible boat mobile?”
The player crashed into an invisible object (possibly a vehicle) in the middle of the road. Seeing this, one user (u/Skilfulchris2) hilariously answered:
“Wonder woman's invisible jet!”
Many other fans also compared the incident to pop-culture moments.
Taking the gist, some fans also stated that it was a new customization feature from Rockstar Games.
While the bug seemingly occurred to the original poster after the most recent GTA Online weekly update, many players reported that they had also faced the same issue before.
One user named MrOngVernSeng (u/MrOngVernSeng) hilariously commented:
“Oh, welp seems like you hit a , that would be an expensive fix since it's a .”
One user named ZootyBootyOnFrooty (u/ZootyBootyOnFrooty) tried to explain a possible explanation for the bug:
“Invisible car glitch, happens from time to time. Sometimes car pop up suddenly but sometimes they invisible.”
As per the post and video details, the gameplay was seemingly from either Xbox Series X or S. While the latest GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC claimed to fix many bugs, this one remains in the game.
Can you use mods in GTA Online in 2024?
The straightforward answer is no. Rockstar Games prohibits the use of mods in GTA Online. While you can use various mods in Grand Theft Auto 5 PC, none of them are allowed in the multiplayer version. The online mode is supposed to be uniform for everyone, and the studio intends players to use the in-game features and assets to enjoy the game.
However, using mods alters your gameplay experience and creates bugs and glitches for other players if they connect with you. Therefore, Rockstar completely bans modding in the online multiplayer so that every player can enjoy a bug-free experience. While glitches may still occur like the one mentioned above, they are accidentally generated by the in-game coding.
Although some players use mods in GTA Online, Rockstar Games takes strict actions against them. If the developer catches you using any kind of script and mods to access the official version of the multiplayer game, you can get banned from the game permanently.
