8 Terrible Fanatics Experiences for NHL Fans: A misspelled Bedard's jersey, an incorrect Bruins cap and more

NHL fans have been livid after finding out that the NHL’s partnership with Adidas will end after next season and that the league will be transitioning to being outfitted by the merchandise company Fanatics.

For years, Fanatics has been the league's merchandise partner, running the NHL's online store. Poor customer service and numerous errors by the company prompted NHL fans to share their horrifying experiences with Fanatics.

Here are eight examples of Fanatics butchering NHL fans’ orders

Bruins Cap with Penguins font

Cmon this one is self-explanatory. There's a "B" in the logo. This NHL fan was sorely disappointed when her Bruins cap came in but said it was a Penguins cap on the side. Maybe if the two teams merged… The Bruguins? Puins?

New York Islanders

Fanatics botched this one up too. The Rangers logo is literally on the jersey. It says Rangers in the logo. Either way, the fine fellows at Fanatics thought this was an Islanders shirt for some reason.

Interesting customer service

This Blackhawks fan must have been very confused. After ordering a Jonathan Toews jersey, the person who received the package noticed that Fanatics spelled Toews, “Towes”. After being prompted to return the package for the correction, the fan instead received a Taylor Hall Boston Bruins jersey. Hopefully she liked the Bruins too….

Numbers too big

How do you get this so wrong? The numbers on this Torey Krug jersey nearly ran over the name plate and overlapped the striping at the bottom of the jersey. The good news is that if this happens in the NHL, statisticians will have no trouble distinguishing Krug's numbers from those of others.

Spurgeno: Fanatics replaced Minnesota Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon’s nationality with this mistake, making him Jared Spurgeno instead. The good news was that it seemed like Jared Spurgeon was a good sport about it, signing the jersey for the fan.

Jets logo upside down: Pretty self explanatory, but maybe next time check which way the Winnipeg Jet logo is facing before sowing it on.

Bedard's name is spelled wrong: If Connor Bedard is as good as this Fanatics botch job, all hockey fans are in big trouble. This Canada national team fan was pretty disappointed when his jersey arrived with Bedard’s name being spelled Beadrd..

Hischier/Hughes Mashup: About halfway through, the creator of this jersey became confused about who it was. In the back, it's a full Jack Hughes jersey with the correct number and name spelled correctly. On the shoulders, however, is the number 13 of New Jersey Devils teammate Nico Hischier. It will be interesting to see how the front of the jersey looks and whether or not Nico Hischier's captain's "C" is included.
