Jared Bednar is a Canadian former ice hockey player and coach. He is serving as head coach for the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League (NHL) as of November 2024. Bednar started his hockey career in the WHL, played junior hockey with them, and progressed to the ECHL with Huntington Blizzard. He later joined the South Carolina Stingrays in the AHL and spent most of the seasons with them before retiring in 2002.

Bednar led the Colorado Avalanche to win the prestigious Stanley Cup in 2022 and became the first coach to win three championships in the ECHL Kelly, AHL Calder, and NHL Stanley. Bednar signed with the Colorado Avalanche as a head coach on August 25, 2016.
