Jared Bednar, who was born on February 28, 1972, is a Canadian former ice hockey player and coach. He is the head coach for the Colorado Avalanche in the National Hockey League (NHL), as of April 2025. Bednar started his junior playing career with the Saskatoon Blades in the Western Hockey League WHL and also played for the Huntington Blizzard later on. He later joined the South Carolina Stingrays and retired from playing in 2002.

After retiring as a player, Bednar served as the South Carolina Stingrays' assistant coach from 2002 to 2007. He was named the Stingrays' head coach in 2007 and later worked as a head coach for the likes of the Peoria Rivermen and Lake Erie Monsters. He signed with the Colorado Avalanche on August 25, 2016. He led the Avalanche to the prestigious Stanley Cup in 2022 and became the first coach to win the Kelly Cup, Calder Cup, and Stanley Cup.
