Craig Anderson's NHL career

Craig Anderson is one of the oldest players in the league with playing experience of more than two decades. He has been part of six franchises and has played over 700 games (with over 660 starts) since making his debut during the 2002-03 campaign for the Chicago Blackhawks.

Anderson has spent over 56 minutes on the ice on average with a save percentage of 0.912. On average, he concedes less than three goals per game.

He has started 18 games this season (nine of which have been wins), conceding just 2.7 goals per game on average. Though there has been a decrease in his playing time, Anderson's presence has been a big positive due to his vast experience and his ability to help the team in crucial games.

"Craig Anderson is now the only goaltender in NHL history to record multiple performances of 40 or more saves and one or fewer goals against in a single season at age 41 or older. He is also the oldest goaltender (41 years, 279 days) to record 50 or more saves in a single game." - Sabres PR

Buffalo Sabres 2022-23 season overview

The Buffalo Sabres have played well this season and are fourth in the Atlantic Division with 64 points.

The Sabres' offense has contributed close to 200 goals this season. However, in contrast, their defense has done poorly, conceding almost 3.5 goals per game. With improvements in the last few games, the Sabres' defense looks set for a change in fortunes.

Having won their last two games, Buffalo are doing well and will try to make the most of their next opportunity. The Sabres are scheduled to face the Washington Capitals at home next this coming Sunday (February 26).
