The Buffalo Sabres (33-30-6) currently sit in sixth place in the Atlantic Division. The team is also in the mix with other teams that are battling for the East Wild Card spot.

However, as the season is quickly coming to its conclusion, the Sabres' hopes of making it to the playoffs are also limited as they are seven points behind the second-place Florida Panthers in the East Wild Card standings.
