Earlier, Vancouver Canucks fans were saddened about the team not winning enough games. But now they are not due to the increased chances of losing Connor Bedard. The Canucks have won their last five games and are sixth in the Pacific Division with 63 points.

Fans naturally reacted on Twitter, and here are the best posts.

Why do fans want the Canucks to lose? The answer is quite simple. The Canucks are far from qualifying for the playoffs, and despite this winning run, they will not achieve anything this season.

Plus, their improved position in the division could keep them out of the bottom 11 teams. With Connor Bedard slated to be the first pick in the draft, fans want the Canucks to lose for the rest of the season to have any say during the NHL draft.

Here are a few more tweets requesting the team not to win more games

Canadian Connor Bedard has participated in two World Junior Championships, the latest being the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship. Bedard played 17 games and scored 13 goals, while 18 more for Canada during these championships. He plays in the WHL for the Regina Pats and is among the highest-rated young players.

What makes him so Special?

Connor Bedard is known for his goal-scoring skills and continuous contributions in attack. In the last two seasons for the Regina Pats, he has played 113 games and has scored 112 goals, which is almost a goal per game.

What's next for the Vancouver Canucks?

The Vancouver Canucks have had a poor season and are sixth in the Western Conference Pacific Division with 63 points, 18 clear of the fourth spot in the division.

The Canucks have done well on the offense lately and have scored 222 goals in 66 games this season. On the defensive front, they have done poorly and have conceded 3.8 goals per game overall but have shown a better response in the last few games.

Even though the Canucks have done better in the last few games, they will be in a dilemma to test their bench strength or play the best team in the upcoming games. Given that the playoffs are unreachable, whether they look to the draft or finish the season on a high note will be a question for them.

They play the Arizona Coyotes next on March 16.
