Brady Tkachuk and the Ottawa Senators will face-off against the Carolina Hurricanes tonight at the PNC Arena at 7:00 PM ET.
Brady Tkachuk is available to play tonight for the Senators. The winger leads the team with 60 points and 36 assists. The 23-year-old will be looking to lead his team to a victory against the Hurricanes, who have a 38-10-8 record and a 20-6-2 record at home.
Sebastian Aho leads the Canes with 25 goals this season. He will butt heads against Tim Stutzle, who has 26 goals in 52 games.
This will be the first of three scheduled matches between the two teams, with either team looking to take a series lead and head up the standings.
Brady Tkachuk's career so far
The 23-year-old was drafted fourth overall in the 2018 NHL entry draft by the Ottawa Senators. In his first season, Tkachuk scored 45 points from 22 goals and 23 assists in 71 games played.
Entering tonight's game, Tkachuk has 252 career points from 114 goals and 138 assists in 333 career games.
The Ottawa Senators signed Tkachuk to a seven-year, $57.5 million contract in October 2021 and was soon named the captain of the team on November 5th.
Tkachuk made the NHL All-Rookie Team in 2019 and has three All-Star nominations (2020,2022 and 2023).
Brady Tkachuk was born into a hockey family
Brady Tkachuk is the son of former NHL player Keith Tkachuk and the younger brother of Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk.
Keith Tkachuk played in the NHL for 18 years and has 1065 career points on 538 goals and 527 assists in 1201 games. Keith has previously played for the Winnipeg Jets, Phoenix (now Arizona) Coyotes, St. Louis Blues, and Atlanta Thrashers.
Brady Tkachuk was born in Scottsdale, Arizona, but grew up in St. Louis after his father was traded there in 2001.
Matthew Tkachuk is the eldest son of the family and was drafted into the NHL in 2016 as the sixth overall pick by the Calgary Flames. He was traded to the Florida Panthers before the 2022-23 season. In his 488 career games, the eldest Tkachuk brother has 460 points from 180 goals and 280 assists.
The Tkachuk family are cousins to former NHL player and current New Jersey Devils executive Tom Fitzgerald and his sons Ryan and Casey. Flyers forward Kevin Hayes and his late brother Jimmy Hayes are also cousins of the Fitzgeralds and Tkachuks.
