EA Sports has provided NHL 24 gamers with much-anticipated news: the release of the 1.1.1 patch.
Going live on October 24, 2023, at 12 p.m. ET, this update brings numerous upgrades and new features to enhance gaming experiences and the overall gamer experience.
NHL 24 Patch 1.1.1: Latest update
One of the key highlights of this update is reintroducing hybrid controls. Previous versions had taken away this feature, causing much discord among players who found the game challenging without accessing core actions using the face buttons of their controller.
Hybrid controls allow players to perform core actions like shooting, passing, and hitting with ease using a similar controller mapping as NHL 23 with some modifications made specifically to support core gameplay changes.
This update also brings significant modifications to Goalie Controls. Based on community feedback, developers have expanded the User Goalie Controls Settings within the Control Settings menu.
Players now have the ability to choose between Default or Alternate control layouts, while setting Goalie Tether options from On/Off/Hybrid.
Hug Post can also be set to Auto or Manual mode, giving players more control of their gameplay experience.
NHL 24 Patch 1.1.1 patch addresses various gameplay issues based on community feedback. Stick Lift Targeting has been revised to reduce penalties, as well as to address several bugs impacting gameplay experience.
These include an unusual glitch that causes the User Goalie to spin around when moving, an important physics bug that affects game rankings and several crashes that occur in various scenarios.
As well as these gameplay updates, this patch also introduces enhancements to Creation Zone and Art.
Multiple game crashes have been addressed, scroll speed in the "Player Details" menu has been improved, and issues related to player creation and equipment coloring have been resolved.
Center ice art of various NHL and AHL teams has been updated, while new uniforms for teams across different leagues have also been made available.
EA Sports recently made an announcement regarding future updates, such as a larger list of gameplay changes based on player feedback that are scheduled for release in early November.
These solutions will address concerns surrounding lacrosse moves, unintended push checks, goalie tuning, and more.
With the early November release, an upgrade in hip-checks is also planned for this patch.
Overall, NHL 24 Patch 1.1.1 provides an in-depth update that addresses numerous community requests while improving the overall gameplay experience.
EA Sports continues to make NHL 24 an engaging and enjoyable gaming experience for its community with its commitment and openness to player feedback.
