The Carolina Hurricanes are having a great season and are one of the strong contenders for the title. In an interview recently, Tom Dundon, who owns the Hurricanes, opened up about the team, his expectations and plans for the season.
Although he talked about a lot of things, the highlight of his interview was his thoughts about former player and current coach Rod Brind'Amour.
Tom Dundon said " “Rod is going to coach our team for 20 years if he’ll stay for 20 years. If we don’t win, it ain’t going to be because of him.”
Many fans took to Twitter following the interview, and most of them appreciated the owner of the Carolina Hurricanes for his views. One tweeted:
"Tom Dundon has been everything you could want in an owner since he bought the team. Being able to step back and trust your guys to do it their way while writing the check has made Rod’s transition so easy. The fans appreciate you, and I know the staff does. Now let’s get that cup!"
Another added:
"love this guy's process; it’s going to work out for #LetsGoCanes real soon too."

The Hurricanes offensively have done well, scoring nearly 190 goals in 56 games, thanks to Martin Necas, Sebastian and Andrei Svechnikov, who have over 20 goals apiece. The three have combined to score close to 70 goals and have assisted in over 85.
The Carolina Hurricanes have shown strong defensive abilities, conceding around 2.6 goals per game this NHL season. The goaltenders have done their job well and look well-settled for the future.
