TJ Brodie is a Canadian professional ice hockey player for the National Hockey League's Toronto Maple Leafs (NHL). He was drafted 114th overall by the Calgary Flames in the fourth round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Prior to turning professional in 2010, Brodie played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). He represented Canada at the IIHF World Championship in 2013.

TJ Brodie is married to his wife Amber DeBakker. They've been dating since 2012, but they met in 1999. The couple tied the marital knot with each other in October 2015.

Brodie and Amber have been together for nearly two decades and appear to be happy with each other. Amber adores her husband and has been seen cheering him on at several NHL games. They are frequently seen on vacation together, and they spend the majority of their time with their children.

They have a little daughter named Severn Tavey Brodie. On August 6, 2021, Amber became a mother to her newborn son, Church Dresden James.

DeBakker is a make-up artist and Arbonne Independent Consultant. Similarly, she was listed as a "Lash-Artist" for Dreamlash Academy. There aren't many details available on the internet because the couple prefers to keep their personal lives private.

TJ Brodie's NHL career

Brodie's speed has allowed him to develop into one of the NHL's most dynamic defensemen in a game where skating prowess is more important than ever.

Brodie, who was born in Chatham, Ontario, was chosen by the Flames in the fourth round (No. 114) of the 2008 NHL Draft. During Brodie's first training camp, then-Calgary coach Brent Sutter declared him to be unlike anyone else in the Flames organization. The only question was how long it would take him to reach the NHL.

TJ Brodie played in the Ontario Hockey League for parts of four seasons before turning pro and joining Abbotsford in the American Hockey League for the 2010-11 season, where he had five goals and 34 points.

His NHL debut came in 2011-12 when he appeared in 54 games for Calgary and finished with two goals and 14 points. Brodie's role grew as he improved and his production increased, and he was paired on the No. 1 power-play unit with Mark Giordano.

Brodie has also proven to be tough. In both the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons, he appeared in 81 games.
