After ducting with the Oilers in the 2016-17 season and averaging 21 minutes on the ice, he has played 554 games till now. McDavid has scored 294 goals at a shooting percentage of 15.6 and has provided 530 assists.

Connor McDavid's role will be crucial as his team fights for the playoffs. The Edmonton Oilers have scored 258 goals in 67 games this season, with 97 goals coming from McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.
The defense has not worked for the Oilers and has conceded around 3.27 goals per game. Even after changes in the defensive set of players, the results have been inconsistent. This puts more onus on McDavid to contribute in the upcoming games.
