The Vancouver Canucks are indicating that they might be ready to trade a major chunk of their current roster, per Matthew Seekers of "The Daily Hive". Bo Horvat became the first piece to get traded, and many other players are rumored to bo in pending trades.

The Canucks hired head coach Rick Tocchet in January 2023, entrusting Trochet to rebuild the Canucks. Tocchet's plan is likely to trade the remaining players in the team that can get them better future prospects.

According to NHL Rumors, the list of players that might be headed out of Vancouver before the March 3rd Trade Deadline includes:

#1. Brock Boeser

Brock Boeser made the All-Star team for the Vancouver Canucks in 2018, grabbing over 55 points in his first two seasons.

This season, he has a -19 +/- and only scored 10 goals, making it his worst scoring season. He has also sustained serious injuries throughout his career, which seems to have taken away the spark with which he entered the league.

Boeser has a high salary cap hit of $6 million, but teams like the Pittsburgh Penguins, Boston Bruins, Minnesota Wild, and New Jersey Devils seem interested in the 25 year-old forward.

#2. Luke Schenn

The 33-year old veteran is a hot prospect for the Canucks, as teams like the Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning seem interested in the experienced defenseman. He has a very affordable salary cap hit of $850,000, increasing the chances of getting picked up by a contender.

Schenn has 18 points this season in 54 games played with three goals and 14 assists. He can be a depth player and fit anywhere. Schenn won back-to-back Stanley Cups in 2020 and 2021 with the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Canucks will be looking to get at least a second-round pick in return.

#3. Thatcher Demko

Demko was the primary goaltender for the Vancouver Canucks before he sustained a lower-body injury in a 5-1 loss to the Florida Panthers in December. He was sidelined for six weeks, but the timeline was extended.

Demko's contract has a $5 million cap that will keep him in Vancouver until the 2025-26 season. He's a potential No.1 goalie for the Pittsburgh Penguins, who don't have a primary goalkeeper next season. The Buffalo Sabres are another team that could be interested in the custodian.

The Vancouver Canucks have lost eight players to injury over the due course of the season. The most recent addition to the list is winger Tanner Pearson, who suffered a hand injury and is expected to be out until July 1st.

The list includes Thatcher Demko, winger Curtis Lazar, winger Will Lockwood, and defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson along with winger Ilya Mikheyev and defenseman Tucker Poolman.

With so many injuries and poor form from most of their players, the Canucks are expected to be big sellers before the NHL trade deadline.
